Woman’s herstory had us read about the short lived NBFO. Ok, how can people be feminists and not pro equality for all races? I see know why the woman’s march this last Saturday was so powerful. It was as if, for the first time in ourstory of United States, that I felt unity. I felt woman of all races and nationalities stand together, wanting equality. I felt and saw many male allies.
This is no copy of the Civil Rights movement. Now finally people see, that freedom is only possible if all people have equality and equity.
So to all my female friends out there of all skin colors, especially my darker skinned female friends, I support you, I see the historical context of why your oppression is the true key to all of our liberation.
I recognize we live in a liberal bubble here in the Bay Area. So I hope to continue to travel and spread healing ideas around the country and world.
Feminism is environmentalism, is veganism is liberation is peace.
All movements for freedom for all beings are important.
The ideas that suppress woman are the same ones (patriarchy, colonialism, imperialism, carnisum, and capitalism) the cause atrocities to every other group of oppression.
So if you have to pick one thing to teach someone, teaching feminism. Teach them to love and respect woman.
All other things can stem and grow from there.
